The historic colonial charm of the Colonel Blackinton Inn provides a comfortable, cozy atmosphere for guests seeking a pleasant alternative to large hotels.

The Inn, which houses 11 guest rooms, has been created from a historic landmark known as the Blackinton Double House (circa 1850). We are less than a mile from the center of Attleboro, MA, situated on the bank of the Bungay River. Please view our Slide Show of the Colonel Blackinton Inn.

Colonel Willard Blackinton was a prominent industrialist and financier in America's early days. The colonel was born in 1800, son of William Blackinton, an early settler of the Attleboro area.
In 1850, Blackinton commissioned a home to be built for his two sons and their families. The Greek revival style was a favorite of the time, reflecting the elegance and stately homes constructed in the mid 19th century. The Colonel Blackinton Inn was created by skilled craftsmen who used hand-hewn timbers of oak, held in place by wooden pegs. The historic inn is listed by the Massachusetts Historical Commission and with the National Register of Historic Places, proudly taking its place in the company of some of the finest historical homes in New England.
The Colonel Blackinton Inn houses four small dining rooms, a tavern and a sunny garden terrace where you'll find dining and live music every Summer. The Jenkin's House, across the terrace, is the perfect place to host events for up to 55 people. We can host your private parties, conferences and business meetings. We also have nine guest rooms for anyone visiting from out of town, in town for business, or just wanting to get away for a relaxing night.
About Antony and Kimberly Canova
Today, the Inn is owned and operated by Antony & Kimberly Canova. Tony is a hospitality graduate from UMass Amherst and the Culinary Institute of America. Kim graduated from Cornell University's Hotel School. They met working together at the Four Seasons in Boston and married in 2007. They split their time between their two restaurants & their family. They are dedicated to providing delicious, responsibly sourced food and creating a memorable dining experience.
We take pride in being able to operate in this historic home. The fundamental purpose of Colonel Blackinton Inn is to provide our guests with a memorable experience through attentive service, good fresh food, and well maintained grounds and facilities, and to constantly improve on how we accomplish this goal. We make almost everything from scratch at our historic inn in Attleboro, Massachusetts ( MA ), including our sauces and dressings. We use local companies and farmers for our products wherever possible, and all our ground beef is ground fresh right here daily.
We are continuously driving our Company towards new goals, including becoming more eco friendly as a business and reducing our carbon footprint.
